If you're concerned about your mental health, equine assisted psychotherapy may be for you!
Overall, equine therapy provides a holistic and experiential approach to mental health that integrates emotional, physical, and social aspects of healing, making it an increasingly recognized and valuable treatment option that is less intense than “talk therapy”.

A full hour all to yourself! Enjoy reconnecting to your surroundings and interacting with horses.
Bring your partner for an hour at the barn learning about horses, yourselves and each other. We are LGBTQ+ friendly!
The whole family can come and experience the barn, the horses, and fresh air! We will plan a tour, hold a brief safety lesson, and a complete a fun activity with the horses. At the end, we will process what went well and be curious about what was more challenging.
Groups are forming to meet once per week for 6-8 weeks beginning April, 2025. Group passes are currently available for $300. This includes a bundle of 6 Group sessions and a maximum of 6 participants per session. All members are vetted prior to meeting. Contact us if you are interested in forming a small group! Ideas include Women’s Wellness/Adolescent Support/Children with Special Needs/Homeschooled with Horses. Specific Group topics are still being brainstormed.
Equine assisted learning may be a more affordable option for you! Sessions are provided by an equine specialist only. There is no need for the mental health therapist to be present. You and the equine specialist can engage in activities at the barn with horses (with or without all the talking!) You may learn basic horse care, assist with feeding and grooming horses, and learn about general barn activities and horse behavior. Please visit www.stanlewoodsequine.com website for more information.
Accommodations can be made for Church groups, business team building events, and other large group meetings.
Consider hosting a wellness day for your barn family! Our mental health clinician can travel to your barn to support horse owners/boarders, barn owners, helpers, or others guests/interested parties. Using your horses, we will complete fun team building activities paired with mindfulness exercises to promote group work, cohesion and communication. Please contact us for a quote.
