Overall, equine therapy provides a holistic and experiential approach to mental health that integrates emotional, physical, and social aspects of healing, making it an increasingly recognized and valuable treatment option that is less intense than “talk therapy”. 

• Practice practical coping strategies to manage your symptoms. 
• Complete fun and challenging activities with horses. Examples include Catch & Halter, Picking Up Feet (Trust Me!), Herd vs. Pack, Life‘s Little Obstacles, Temptation Alley, Lie Detector, and Create Your Corral. 
• Spend time with horses using mindfulness techniques and grounding skills to help you connect with your thoughts, feelings, and autonomic nervous system.
• Learn principles of horse behavior including non-verbal communication, pressure/pain responses, attention/at ease, recircle for safety, and push/pull. 
• Promote overall wellness and healthy habits.
