Our experienced therapist, L. Allyson "Ally" Radenheimer, MA, LPC (WVLPC #2442) is dedicated to helping clients improve their overall mental health and well-being. A West Virginia native, Ally has over 30 years of experience providing mental health services to families in our community. In addition to her work with equine assisted psychotherapy Ally also provides individual, family, and couples therapy at Aspire to Inspire Behavioral Health and Addiction Services, LLC (www.aspire-counseling.org). She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy which is an evidence based treatment for trauma as well as a wide variety of other mental health concerns.

Kathryn Ellis, Owner, Equine Specialist

We have partnered with Kathryn Ellis, Owner of Stable Woods, LLC to provide a peaceful and safe location for sessions. Please visit www.stablewoodsequine.com for more information and learn more about Kathryn, equine specialist, and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL). EAL does not include a therapist on the team, but may be a great introduction to all things horse related.
Working as a team consisting of yourself (and your session partners), Ally, Kathryn and up to 3 horses, we will explore issues important to you.
Together, we will:
- Use experiential and evidence-based treatments;
- Create safe space for practicing coping skills, mindfulness and emotional regulation;
- Engage in activities with horses to promote communication, problem solving, and self-awareness;
- Work together to create a caring and supportive environment;
- Participate in a type of therapy that is less intense than talk therapy.
